TACTILE JOYS: PLANNING

Can minimalists collect items?

In a world that encourages mindless consumption,
I tread the balance between appreciation, sentiment, and mindful curation.

Before starting a collection, I consider two guiding principles.
Will it slow down the pace of life and help me disconnect?
Does it encourage inner growth?

I admire heritage and craftsmanship, and I collect agenda covers.
Ring planners elevate my daily routines and help me achieve my aspirations.
The tactile nature of planning is a practice that brings joy and introspection.

Can collectors embrace minimalism? Can a minimalist collect non-essential items?
Absolutely.
I remind myself that life’s richness extends beyond things.
It’s not about possessing it all, but rather curating selectively.
Imagination, creativity, and hope are worth far more than things.
Elevated luxuries are simply an alluring nice-to-have.

When I do invest, I try to couple purchases with significant moments or successes, as a tangible symbol of growth and achievement.

I embrace this perspective of elevated minimalism - the items I curate symbolise my core values.
